Dan Rossi is The New York Hot Dog King. He has been building pushcarts for the last 40+ years and has been selling hot dogs in front of The Met for the last 16 years. Dan is a disabled veteran: he served two tours in The Vietnam War as a United States Marine. Dan prides himself on the cleanliness of his cart and the quality food that he provides to his customers.
This business is veteran-owned and family-owned. Dan and his wife, Angela, have four daughters and 14 grandchildren. Their third daughter, Elizabeth, is also a Marine veteran; she owns a food cart right alongside her father in front of The Met. Dan builds all of their carts!
Since the 1970’s, this business has employed veterans. We also employ non-veterans. Our goal is to always support veterans and veteran events in the NYC area.
